#AtoZChallenge A Drabble for a Tag: Werewolf

“I was a doctor before Grace,” he says.

Grace, who is real. An elderly woman who came to his office on day with a dire problem.

“I thought it was an advanced form of dementia. Then she invited me down here—” We stand in front of the obscure door at the back of the basement, where he finally acknowledges the knocking that has haunted me since I was last here.

“I watched her transform.”

“Into what?”

“They’re like werewolves,” he says, “except instead of a full moon, it’s every night. And they’re still—”

“Human?”

He nods. “At least, a version…”

The A to Z Challenge is back, and this year, I’m giving you 26 drabbles (100-word stories) using some of my favorite unused or underused tags.

OK, so I fell behind, but I won’t leave you hanging! Thursday’s tag was “werewolf.”

Stay tuned for the conclusion, “X,” “Y, and “Z” tomorrow!

  1. Hi Nortina!

I enjoy your works, in fact I am just now checking out your Published Works page. Can’t wait to read them!

I was thinking of creating a separate page of my poetry to stay organized -a great idea!

    1. Thanks! I seriously need to send out more stories and poems so I can update that list!

I think creating a separate page is a great idea! Organization is bae. I reorganize my blog all the time. LOL

      1. Yep! I find myself trying to rework a new theme on my blog. I use the free subscription but maybe I should pay for my own domain? I may have to so I can have a bit more control over the design and other sections of the blog…thinking of it though. Lol. Keep writing! I still have my handy excel sheet documenting poems accepted/rejected. It helps so much.

      2. Excel spreadsheet? You sound so organized! I should definitely do that! It’ll help me keep up when I start submitting again. Buying your own domain is only $18 a year, so I’d do it. The premium plan on the other hand… I’ve considered upgrading to the premium plan to get the cooler themes and also to run adds so I can make a little change. But I’m not trying to cough up that money just yet. Lol. And if the money I’d make off adds doesn’t bring me back to even, it really isn’t worth it anyway. So I’ll stick to my free plan for now. Lol

      3. Hi! Yeah I try with excel now but was definitely intimidated by it at first lol!
It’s true that sticking with Free would be a good economical choice. Ads don’t do well most of the time anyhow.
