2015 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 12,000 times in 2015. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 4 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Wow! 2015 has been an amazing year for me. I was published in 7 different literary magazines (you can find the links in the sidebar under “Published Works”), and 12,000 views on my blog is just unfathomable! You guys love me! You really love me!

And some of my most popular posts were actually published in 2014, which means that my writing has staying power! Whoop! Whoop!

I can’t even believe that at this time last year, I was close to giving up on my dream of being a published author. I can only thank God for the success I’ve had and pray that he continues to bless me well into 2016.

I have a lot planned for this blog in 2016. First, I want to put more effort in my Sunday Morning Word series, making sure I post a new message every week. In this day and age, we have no time to be lazy. People need to hear the good news.

Also, in January, I will be posting a serial story that you do not want to miss. If you enjoyed “Love Poetry,” the novella I wrote for the 2014 A-Z Challenge, you’re gonna love this one. I haven’t worked out a title yet, so for now, I’m calling it the Buried Series, and it is full of suspense. Get ready!

The Oreo Cookies chapter excerpts are kind of on hiatus while I work on outlining the rest of the novel. However, I do plan on finishing part one (the introduction of the Oreos) by February or March, so expect new posts soon.

Last, but certainly not least, I want more of my poems and short stories published! Enough chit-chatting. I have to get back to writing!

Happy New Year!
