For the Love of Money

I spend money recklessly. A starving artist once promised me dinner if I purchased his lizard sculpture for $205.

He never called.

I blamed it on my love handles protruding through my dress, so I spent $20 on Hydroxycut gummies from Walmart. After reading the label, I realized there were only enough gummies for five days, and the recommended use was eight weeks to lose an average of 16 pounds, which amounts to two pounds a week, which any idiot could lose by cutting 500 calories a day.

I’d feed them to the lizard, but I already see his ribs.

  1. This is the best of this week’s offerings IMHO. I just love the way you’ve crafted this: funny and sad in equal measure. Well done!

  2. I love this, great story. She could stick these gummies to the lizard’s ribs, call it “Beauty”, sell it for twice the price and wear her love handles proudly. 🙂

  3. You pulled together a lot of random bits & pieces into a nice little drabble…. Scrap art with words? Works for me. Well done.
